Terms & Conditions for all users of
The Dorchester Secure Pet Park

All users of the Pet Park agree to these terms and conditions of use.

Definitions

  1. 'The Organiser' is Growing Energy Ltd, trading as Dorchester Secure Pet Park, registered office Wrackleford House, Dorchester, Dorset DT2 9SN, Company No. 08576189.
  2. 'The Land Owner' is The Wrackleford Estate.
  3. 'Dorchester Secure Pet Park' is a trading name and operates 'The Rookery' park.
  4. 'The Rookery' is the fenced park area for use of pets situated close to DT2 9RP.
  5. 'A Session' is a 50 minute period of hire from on the hour to 50 minutes later.
  6. 'The Hirer' is the person who has made the booking for the pet park and must be present at the time of the booking, they are also 'The User'.

1. Liability

No responsibility will be taken by the land owner/s or organisers for damage or injury sustained to property, individuals or animals whilst using the field or on the property. All vehicles parked on the property are left entirely at their owners risk. No responsibility for damage or accidents can be taken by Dorchester Secure Pet Park. Any breakages or damage to the field will be paid for by the dog owner. All dogs using Dorchester Secure Pet Park must be fully up-to-date with their Booster inoculations.

The Pet Park is a fenced area of an agricultural field and as such the user must accept there may be some natural stones, some of which could be sharp, that could cause damage to paws. The operator cannot take responsibility for injuries sustained in this instance. As this is an unsupervised park it is essential that the user satisfies themselves that the park is suitable for their pet and ensure the activities it undertakes are carried out in a safe and controlled way.

On arrival if there is anything that concerns an the user for the welfare of their pet during their session then the user should immediately contact the office on either 01305 266215 or 07980 694487 to discuss your concerns and not proceed with the booking.

2. Booking

Booking should only be made on the https://www.dorchestersecurepetpark.co.uk/ website.

3. Payment

All payments should be made at time of booking in advance of arrival.

4. Cancellation Policy

If the user arrives late, the booking time cannot be extended. 24 hrs notice is required for any cancellations.

Should Dorchester Secure Pet Park need to cancel your booking for any reason, and with any notice, then either an alternative session will be found by mutual agreement or a full refund will be given for the cost of the booking. There is no liability beyond the cost of the booking.

5. Bookings

Bookings are non-transferable. The person making the booking must be present and must ensure that anyone else attending is made aware of and adheres to the Terms and Conditions of Dorchester Secure Pet Park.

6. Entering/Leaving the Field

It is the responsibility of those using the field to book a slot which allows enough time to unload their animals, use the field and get them back into their vehicles afterwards within their time slot. The slot is not just for use of the field. Users must inspect the field to ensure that it is suitable for use by their dog(s), fence height, proximity to farm animals etc. Anyone remaining over their time slot in the field will need to pay for the extra slot and be discouraged from re-booking. It is the users responsibility to ensure the 2nd entrance gate is locked from the inside whilst they are in the field. Dogs must be back in the car before the end of their session. When not in the secure area Dogs MUST be kept on lead at all times Please keep dogs in your vehicle until the previous users have loaded their dogs back in their vehicle. The only exception to this rule will be if the previous customers have gone over their allotted time.

7. Code of ethics

Choke chains, prong collars and electronic devices are not allowed. Harsh handling of dogs, either verbal or physical is not allowed.

8. Maintenance

No litter is to be left in the field as this presents a risk to other users and their dogs. All dog waste must be placed in the bins provided using biodegradable dog waste bags. We inspect the field regularly and fencing daily to maintain security but please notify us if you have any concerns. During winter the field may be muddy and waterproof boots are advised.

9. Parking

Vehicles are left entirely at your own risk and Dorchester Secure Pet Park accept no responsibility for any loss or damage incurred, accident or otherwise, whilst they are on the premises. No vehicles to be taken into the grassed pet park at any time.

10. Supervision

All pets must be supervised at all times by their owners, and not left un attended.

11. Children

Children are welcome on the field but must be supervised by an adult at all times.

12. Security

Whilst every effort has been made to provide a secure environment for your pet Dorchester Secure Pet Park does not guarantee that it is secure for every pet in every eventuality and the ultimate security and responsibility remains with the pet owner.
